FOOD PANTRY

In September of 2010 we opened up our first food pantry to the community making food and household staples available for families in transition. Then in 2013 we expanded our program into 6 local title one public schools helping provide food to kids that relied heavily on publicly funded food programs to eat. When we realized that some of these kids were only eating one meal a day and that was the meal provided at school, we created the Snacks in Sack program sending discreetly packed backpacks home with kids on Friday, filled with food so that they could have something to eat over the weekend. This program turned into a local partnership with several other area church and today many still partner with us at our offsite Food Pantry still serving the members of our community by providing food and household staples free of charge, every week.
